FIND A DEEP PLAY WIDE RECEIVER
Florida State football's offense was a mess as I alluded to, but the wide receiver pickups with Alabama's Malik Benson and LSU's Jalen Brown via the transfer portal did not help matters in transforming the offense into a formidable unit.
The Seminoles have a motto, "Built for Playmakers," on the offensive end. However, the unit was nothing special, where the offense ranked as the 132nd best in the country.
It seemed like former Florida State quarterback transfer DJ Uiagalelei dealt with injuries during his time with the Seminoles. However, he, Luke Kromenhoek, and Brock Glenn did not pose a threat of taking the top off the defense with chunk plays.
While I am not suggesting that Castellanos will be the signal-caller to consistently take shot plays, the running game should allow him to make opposing defenses pay for stacking the box. Plus, it doesn't hurt that the Seminoles have Duce Robinson, Squirrel White, Gavin Blackwell, Elijah Moore, and Lawayne McCoy (to name a few) to throw to.
