ESTABLISH THE GROUND GAME

When Florida State began its fall camp last year, the coaching staff stated that they wanted to run the football. Unfortunately, the Seminoles did not accomplish that feat as they averaged 89 rushing yards per game in 2024.

The coaching staff added former Oklahoma transfer Gavin Sawchuk and former four-star prospect Ousmane Kromah to its running back room. Could that be enough to make Florida State a formidable unit?

Maybe you might not think that the duo of Sawchuk and Ousmane is elite, but having a new offensive coordinator, Gus Malzahn (who is known for establishing the run), and grabbing former UCF and Boston College dual-threat transfer quarterback Thomas Castellanos could be something special.

Honestly, if the offense establishes the ground game early and often, it would be enough to stabilize the program after it abysmal 2024 campaign.
