Last home game of the year could lead to a successful Noles recruiting class

Florida State's 2026 recruiting class could be noteworthy.

TE HEZE KENT (FLORIDA COMMIT)

Florida State isn't having the best season, as they have recorded a 4-5 record. However, head football coach Mike Norvell is still in Tallahassee (for now at least), while Billy Napier got canned in Gainesville after the Gators struggled mightily.

This isn't something to brag about if the administration decides to let go of Coach Norvell. However, the Seminoles have to start being successful on the recruiting trail regardless of who the head man is. The program has started to favor the transfer portal over the high school ranks.

Tight end Heze Kent is someone that I am monitoring who will be visiting against the Hokies. The Brunswick, Georgia, native officially visited during the summer but decided to go to the Florida Gators. This was a bit confusing at the time of the recruitment.

However, Florida State has not given up their pursuit. Even though Kent is listed at tight end, I view the 6'6" and 300-pound athlete as an offensive lineman. The Seminoles already have two tight end prospects with four-star Xavier Tiller and three-star Corbyn Fordham (who will both be taking a trip this weekend to Tallahassee).
