CB CHARLES LESTER III

Florida State defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has always been known for his ability to recruit at a high level. One of the bigger pickups during his tenure with the Seminoles is adding former five-star prospect Charles Lester III (dropped to a four-star prospect at the Signing Period).

Lester III was someone that they had to battle away from head football coach Deion Sanders and Colorado, so he was wanted across the country by numerous teams.

The Venice High School standout didn't play much last season, but the redshirt freshman could be in line to have a solid opportunity versus East Texas A&M. This is one that many in the fan base want to see because they need to see the future behind the likes of Earl Little Jr. and Jeremiah Wilson.

There are so many talented defensive backs on the roster that could get their chance this weekend, but this is defensive coordinator Tony White's scheme that uses multiple defensive backs to create a "no-fly zone" for its opponents.

Watch and learn as Lester III starts to get comfortable with the in-game action.
