QB THOMAS CASTELLANOS

One of the bigger storylines for the Florida State Seminoles this offseason was the acquisition of former UCF and Boston College quarterback transfer Thomas Castellanos, who would be reunited with his former head football coach Gus Malzahn.

This seems to be a marriage made in Heaven, since the duo had worked together in the past. However, Castellanos suffered an ankle injury against Kent State that has limited his mobility. The utilization of his legs is what makes him a special talent.

Without that aspect of his game, Castellanos is a serviceable quarterback but would be more of a threat with the skill set. The signal-caller had his moment in the season opener against Alabama, but he didn't have to throw the football thirty times in the game.

If the Seminoles want to win the game, Castellanos has to be at least a slight threat with his legs and consistently move the chains. He did mention that it is "New November" so he will have to prove that the squad is ready for the challenge.
