QB TY SIMPSON (ALABAMA)

Alabama redshirt junior quarterback Ty Simpson will be making his first career road start on Saturday afternoon. The Seminole fans will attempt to make Simpson uncomfortable in the newly renovated Doak Campbell Stadium.

His career at Alabama has been uninspiring. Simpson has been in Tuscaloosa for three years and hasn't made much of an impact, even though Jalen Milroe had his deficiencies as a passer; the Crimson Tide seemed like they didn't trust Simpson enough to lead the offense.

The Tennessee native has completed 58% of his passes for 381 yards and zero passing touchdowns. He has been a viable weapon with his legs, where he recorded 22 carries for 130 yards and three rushing touchdowns.

The Seminoles' defense under Coach White will have to make Simpson feel the pressure. The positive aspect of the multiple 3-3-5 defensive scheme is that Florida State will be able to disguise the coverage to ensure that he has to double-check himself before making a decision that could be costly.
