DT DARRELL JACKSON JR.

I mean this most nicely, but I hope that legendary coach Nick Saban stays far away from the Florida State football team in 2025. Coach Saban mentioned that the Seminoles had one of the best defensive lines in the country last offseason, and you saw what happened.

The program had productive players on the defensive line, such as Patrick Payton, Marvin Jones Jr., Sione Lolohea, Joshua Farmer, and Darrell Jackson Jr., but it didn't pan out the way that the Seminole faithful thought it would, as the most impactful game probably came in a victory versus California.

While it was a year to forget for the defensive line, it was still massive to have redshirt senior defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. back for his last season in Tallahassee in 2025. Jackson Jr. no longer has to worry about having a running mate, with Joshua Farmer taking a bulk of the production.

He enters the year under a new 3-3-5 defensive scheme with coordinator Tony White, which has Jackson Jr. as the focal point in the defense. The Alabama Crimson Tide has projected starting running back Jam Miller out for the game on Saturday, so they will have to rely on other options. The program will likely want to out-physical the Seminoles to set up the passing game.

The talented defensive tackle will have to be at his best if the defense wants Alabama to be one-dimensional.
