I hope not...Will FSU football recruiting miss on all of its targets this weekend?

Should we worry about FSU football recruiting?

FSU FOOTBALL RECRUITING

Florida State football recruiting has been on fire this summer, where it ranks as the 12th-best class according to 247Sports Composite. However, we all know that recruiting is changing constantly as teenagers make pivotal decisions for themselves.

The coaching staff has taken this cycle to a whole new level as they landed highly-touted prospects such as five-star cornerback Chauncey Kennon, four-star defensive lineman Earnest Rankins, and four-star wide receiver Devin Carter.

I don't want this to sound like a Debbie Downer post because I bleed Garnet and Gold. Heck, I have been a season ticket holder since 2009, and I have endured all kinds of hardship, but I am still here to cheer on the Seminoles.

All in all, I love the discussion with other members of the fan base. We have fifty days until the 2025 season opener versus Alabama, so the recruiting class can change in an instant.

I already highlighted my predictions for highly-touted prospects that will be making their decisions this weekend, but I know how the fan base can get on social media (*cue the Jarrian Jones "I hear what you said on Twitter" meme*).

Overall, I think if the Seminoles want three-star defensive end Katrell Webb from Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia, then they will acquire him because they will be battling the likes of Purdue and Indiana. I believe that Webb is backing up his commitment date to July 12th helps the Seminoles, but there is always a possibility that he decides on the Hoosiers or the Boilermakers.

I think the two biggest wants during this weekend are four-star linebacker Rodney Colton Jr. and three-star defensive end Katrell Webb because they are attainable, but it would be a pleasant surprise if four-star offensive tackle Wilson Zierer decided to choose the Garnet and Gold too.,

While the coaching staff shouldn't care what the fan base thinks about the recruiting class in July, it is tougher to flip prospects from other schools than it is to get them to commit in the first place. Hopefully, Florida State has a successful recruiting weekend.
