How FSU football became the WORST Power Four team nationally in 2024

The Good News
There is some good news in all of this. The majority of veteran players on the team will either exhaust eligibility, enter the NFL Draft, or transfer portal.
FSU has some young talent on the roster they can work with if they choose to stay and see the job through.
Mike Norvell has already fired three coaches, which likely means more change will come after the season concludes at the end of this month.
Those changes mean Mike Norvell can start focusing on enforcing the standard because he'll have new voices preaching it to the players. These new coaches won't know any different because they haven't experienced Mike Norvell not enforcing the standard.
These coaching changes also let the players know Mike Norvell is serious about winning again.
FSU doesn't have an elite roster, but they've been losing to teams with lesser talent overall. The biggest problem has been guys not playing for one another or playing selfishly. That can quickly change with a mostly new coaching staff, and I expect that's what we'll have in 2025.
The key will be keeping the young talent they want while addressing the roster holes in the transfer portal and recruiting at an elite level in the high school ranks.
FSU is one of the few programs that can turn things around quickly. Mike Norvell making the right hires after the season is the first step to making that happen.
