Linebackers- GRADE B-
-Izayia Williams- No. 79 overall four-star
-Karon Maycock- No. 730 overall three-star
-Noah LaValle- No. 1451 overall three-star
-Daylen Green- No. 1006 overall three-star
Williams is a prized recruit who has elite ability, but the downside is he's coming off an injury that forced him to miss his senior year. It’s likely one of the reasons FSU was able to land him, projecting he’d fully recover. IF he can get healthy, he has the potential to play early.
He has great speed and size. Maycock is a guy who’s probably better than his ranking. He’s someone who can cover in space, but will probably need to add 10-15 more pounds to be effective against the run.
LaValle is the younger brother of FSU linebacker Caleb LaValle. He’s physically advanced, already at 220 pounds. He has a nose for the ball with over 120+ tackles as a junior, but only eight TFL's. He's probably closer to maxed out, but could eventually be a solid contributor.
Williams is a high-floor guy from the panhandle with over 100+ tackles as a junior.
This grade would be higher if Williams wasn't coming off of the injury and Maycock had more size. This was one of the better linebacker classes in a while.
