Linebacker/Edge
FSU linebacker coach John Papuchis seems to be right at home since moving to linebacker coach.
He got on Kayron Maycock to commit in February before his recruitment blew up and just added underrated Noah LaVallee last week.
I have questions on whether FSU will retain Maycock, but FSU needs more than two linebacker/EDGE players regardless. The good news is they have some options.
There's five-star Xavier Griffin, four-star Rodney Colton Jr., and Duyon Forkpa Jr. on the recruiting board.
The linebacker position isn't as valuable as it used to be, but it's one FSU defensive coordinator Tony White puts in a position to make plays with his 3-3-5 multiple schemes. They can play in space or rush off of the edge. I know some FSU fans look at this defense like Adam Fuller's 4-2-5 with defensive ends rushing like Jared Verse.
Tony White will mix it up and have guys rushing from different places, which makes this defense attractive to a variety of players.
If they can retain Maycock and snag at least two of the three above? That would be an exciting haul.
