FSU softball has bowed out of the Super Regionals in the last two seasons, a step short of the ultimate goal of reaching the WCWS and competing for a national title.

The 2024 season saw the Noles lack pitching depth, and the 2025 season saw the Noles run into the best pitcher in the country, struggling to score runs.  FSU softball head coach Lonni Alameda used the transfer portal for pitching help for the 2025 season, and it paid off.

However, FSU has quietly assembled talent from the high school ranks dating back to the 2023 recruiting class. Those young ladies: Kennedy Harp, Ashtyn Danley, Isa Torres, and Jaysoni Beachum will be juniors in 2026.

The 2024 class added pitcher Jazzy Francik, who had an impact year as a freshman in 2025. The 2025 class ranked No. 3 nationally, and added players in the circle and on offense who’ll be impact players in 2026. Players like Harlie Chism, Marlee Gaskell, Anna Hinde, Hayley Griggs, and Bella Dimitrijevic.

The 2026 class finished with five signees on Wednesday and the No. 13 rank nationally:

FSU had a monster win on the recruiting trail flipping five-star McLaine Hudson from Kentucky a few weeks ago. Her offensive prowess will complement Ava Lorenzatti inside the circle as one of the top pitchers in the 2026 recruiting class.

FSU should have a formidable lineup in 2026 and definitely in 2027 when Isa Torres, Jaysoni Beachum, Kennedy Harper, and the rest of that 2023 class are seniors. The good news is nearly all of these players will be talent cultivated from the high school ranks, so they should have excellent chemistry.
