FSU baseball had eight players drafted in the 2024 MLB Draft and had four selected in the first three rounds of the 2025 MLB Draft on Sunday night.

FSU ace pitcher Jamie Arnold was the first Nole to come off the board at No. 11 overall to the Oakland Athletics. His slot value is at $5,985,100.

FSU shortstop and reigning ACC Player of the Year and ACC Defensive Player of the Year Alex Lodise was the second FSU player drafted. He heard his name called by the Atlanta Braves with the No. 60 selection overall. His slot value is $1,523,200.

FSU pitcher Cam Leiter was the next player to hear his name. Leiter only pitched in a handful of games in 2024 before missing the last 40+ games and all of the 2025 season with an injury. He heard his name called by the LA Dodgers with the No. 65 selection in the second round. His slot value is $1,349,100.

FSU starting centerfielder Max Williams was the final FSU player selected on Sunday night. He heard his name called by the Miami Marlins with the No. 78 overall pick in the third round. His slot value is $1,043,700.

FSU has other players like Drew Faurot, Gage Harrelson, and Joey Volini, who could receive phone calls from teams over the next couple of days.

I was surprised to see Jamie Arnold not hear his name called inside the top 10 and Alex Lodise last until the 60th pick. A team taking Cam Leiter that early was a huge risk, considering he hasn't pitched in over a year.

Max Williams was projected as a third-round selection but went a little earlier than expected to an in-state team.

Players who are serious about their craft would be crazy to not want to play for Link Jarrett. It's the second consecutive year FSU has had a player drafted in the top 15 overall, and several in the first few rounds to become millionaires.
