With the starting quarterback situation settled, it's time to get back to recruiting. FSU needs to have a busy, productive time on the trail before the summer dead period begins in late June. Last year, the Seminoles staff did some good work in the May and June months, which led to commitments from some of their highest-ranked prospects, like five-star cornerback Chuck Kennon and four-star defensive lineman Earnest Rankins.
Mike Norvell will need another productive summer in recruiting and to land the targets he wants and one of those prospects is Anthony Jennings. The Fort Lauderdale native has dropped his top five and the Seminoles will be in the mix.

FSU is in there with Florida, Maryland, Auburn and Syracuse. The general belief is at this stage, this is a Seminoles-Gators battle, but all five programs are scheduled to receive official visits.
4-star WR Anthony Jennings has FSU in his top five
FSU will get the last shot at Jennings if his schedule of visits holds firm. The Seminoles will host Jennings on June 19. The rest of Jennings' schedule has him in Maryland on May 28, Florida on June 4, Syracuse on June 8 and Auburn on June 11. By taking all five visits over the summer, it's likely that Jennings is trying to make a decision before the start of the 2026-27 school year.
Norvell needs some momentum heading into a pivotal season and the best way to accomplish that is with successful recruiting that can get fans excited. The fact that Jennings has publicly said Florida is his favorite means that Norvell will have the opportunity to "steal" a recruit and slow down the hot start that Jon Sumrall has gotten off to.
FSU has gotten off to a slow start with the 2027 class, but a recent commitment from three-star athlete DaYon Cooper might be the start of something bigger. Earlier this week, one of the Seminoles' top targets, four-star edge rusher Abraham Sesay, announced that he'll take an official visit to Tallahassee on June 19.
Right now, the Seminoles have six commits in the class, with Cooper joining four-star safety Mekhi Williams, three-star linebacker Gregory Batson, three-star edge rusher Anthony Cavallaro, three-star safety Jemari Foreman and three-star tight end Connor Winn.
