Florida State received some unsettling news on Sunday night when its four-star top quarterback target received a crystal ball prediction for Notre Dame. A player who had been to FSU multiple times is already leaning towards a team hours away after one visit?
The quarterback position usually takes a while for high school players to make an impact, if they do at all. However, the defensive end position is one where high school players can make an impact immediately if they are elite. FSU has thrown its hat in the mix for an ELITE defensive end in the 2027 recruiting cycle. Top-50 player Abraham Sesay Jr. has scheduled an official visit to FSU for the week of June 19.
Sesay visited five schools this spring: Miami, FSU, Notre Dame, South Carolina, and LSU. Sesay is a five-star by Rival rankings and the No. 50 player overall via the composite rankings. He’s the No. 7 EDGE player nationally, hailing from Pennsylvania.
FSU defensive ends coach Nick Williams, formerly of Syracuse, developed some relationships up north and has done a great job of getting FSU in the mix for some top players at the EDGE position. Sesay would be one of the highest-ranked players in the 2027 class to take an official visit. He visited FSU on March 28th and said he had an “amazing” visit:

I can't fault Florida State for trying to get the best of the best. Will it happen? We'll have to wait and see.
Williams has made it to Penn State, South Carolina, LSU, and FSU so far this spring. He would be a monster get for Nick Williams and Florida State as a huge position of need. FSU has three other top 100-type defensive ends visiting the same weekend as Sesay. Needless to say, they have put a major emphasis on the position going into the 2027 season. Florida State has lacked a legitimate pass rush since first-round draft pick Jared Verse left after the 2023 season.
