When it comes to FSU football running backs, it's a crowded room with an offense that will run the ball about 55-58 percent of the time. There are a lot of diverse traits among the group, but there's one guy who stands out as someone who could be a bona fide star.
That player is freshman Ousmane Kromah. There's a reason why he's the player that Mike Norvell watched more in high school than any other high school player in his career. The former four-star running back flipped to FSU late in the recruiting cycle after being committed to in-state Georgia for a couple of months.

It was a massive win for the Noles on the recruiting trail after the most disappointing season in my lifetime. It looks like that investment will pay off early. Kromah wasn't an early enrollee and arrived on campus a few weeks ago, but he's already turning heads.
He made a key block on a pass protection play during the first team scrimmage earlier this week. However, the short clip in the video below is what has FSU fans excited about what's to come:

This is Kromah catching a pass out of the backfield and making a guy miss in space, while going on the offensive to dismiss another would-be tackler. He is a large running back who can do it all, which is why he was a consensus top-five running back nationally out of high school. The speed, shiftiness, and power are an elite combination.
I expect Kromah to gradually take more and more snaps as the season progresses. It's all about learning the playbook and the willingness to block on plays he won't get the ball, but it already sounds like he doesn't have a problem with the latter. He's going to be a good one for the Noles before it's all said and done.
