It MUST happen.

What's the Buyout Cost?

I couldn't find the buyout cost of any of the coaches anywhere, but the coach who has to go without question is Alex Atkins. His contract will escalate to 1.3 million in 2025 and 1.4 million in 2026. He can recruit a little but hasn't shown the ability to develop talent at all. The FSU offensive line is among the worst in college football, along with the FSU offense Atkins is responsible for coordinating. FSU is averaging 15 ppg, which ranks No. 131, which is fourth worst nationally. I'd imagine it'll cost FSU a nice chunk of change to fire him after this season.

The next coach I'd fire without question is Ron Dugans. He makes significantly less and has one less year on his contract. Aside from last year, FSU wide receivers have been among the worst in the country under his watch and his recruiting isn't anywhere close to elite. He's set to make $625,000 in 2025.

The next guy I'd fire is Randy Shannon. Shannon can coach linebackers but is old and doesn't relate well on the recruiting trail. He's set to make $675,000 in 2025.

The next guy I'd fire is Adam Fuller, mostly because of the amount of his contract. Fuller isn't as bad as folk make him out to be as a defensive coordinator, but he isn't a great recruiter when it comes to high schoolers. His defense has given FSU chances to win at least 4-5 games this year. However, I don't know if FSU can afford to keep him with the narratives on the recruiting trail. It'll likely cost a chunk of change to fire him. He's set to make 1.8 million in 2025.
