The FSU football roster will look a lot different in 2025, and Mike Norvell has some big decisions on who to retain and who to tell to exit the program.
The good news? FSU has a solid core nucleus of young players at several positions. The quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end, and defensive back groups are not without good talent.
There's no question that FSU will need to apply most of its resources to the trenches on both sides. The offensive line, defensive tackle, and especially the defensive end position will be massive needs from the transfer portal.
There's also the issue with culture and several upperclassmen not upholding the standard. Who Mike Norvell retains and lets go will tell us a lot about the state of the program. If he can keep the most talented young players, that's a solid sign they continue to believe in what's possible at FSU with him as the head coach.
Here's a list of underclassmen I'd retain, and another list I'd tell to hit the portal or declare for the NFL Draft.
