Maximize Matchups/Exploit Weaknesses

We saw none of this in 2024 because the offensive line Alex Atkins fielded couldn't block in the run or pass game. However, going back to 2022 and 2023, it wasn't something we saw consistently.

There were games in 2023 where Keon Coleman went off(think LSU), or Johnny Wilson went off in 2022(think Oklahoma game). However, bar in large, FSU never seemed to attack certain areas of an opposing team's defense.

We saw it, as opposing teams would exploit our linebackers in space. Teams with mobile quarterbacks would take advantage of certain things. Teams would run to one side because they knew the defensive end wouldn't set the edge.

The only time I remember FSU exploiting something was against Clemson in 2022 when they couldn't stop counter, and that rode that play for the rest of the year.

I know this aspect involves more than the offensive coordinator, as programs have analysts looking for things on film to scout, etc. However, it's something FSU needs to do a better job.

Now, you have to have playmakers to exploit weaknesses, which ties back into the importance of recruiting.
