Micahi Danzy Emerging As A Receiving Threat

Duce Robinson and Squirrel White are known commodities as wide receivers, and we’ve been waiting for other guys to emerge to take pressure off of those two and to give others for opposing defenses to worry about.

We know Micahi Danzy has elite speed, as evidenced by “The Danzy Special,” which is the rushing play he’s scored on multiple times this year. However, it was his two receptions as a deep threat that will give opposing defensive coordinators headaches to prepare for.

They must respect Danzy’s speed when he lines up at receiver now, which could prove useful on multiple fronts. Defenses may be more cautious to stack the box against the run, and shorter routes underneath could open up because of his ability to stretch the field. Not to mention Duce Robinson and Squirrel White can stretch defenses vertically as well.

He looked natural with those two receptions, and this is a nice development as FSU prepares to enter ACC play.
