FSU football: Three major takeaways from ugly loss against Miami

That game wasn't as close as the final score.

Final Thoughts

FSU gambled and had a ton of big-time recruits at the Miami game. The hope is that FSU fighting to make the score close at the end was enough to sell them on why they are needed in Tallahassee.

We’ll see what the fallout is over the coming days. However, the most important thing for FSU is not to allow this loss to turn into its third consecutive loss when Pittsburgh comes to Tallahassee next week.

If FSU can win that game next week, FSU will still be in line to meet most of our expectations BEFORE the season started. The goal was at least eight wins, and the two games after the Pittsburgh game should be wins unless the Noles fall off the face of the earth.

We’re not into moral victories at this point, but FSU not laying down when they could have is hopefully a good sign moving forward.
