That game wasn't as close as the final score.

FSU football lost its second consecutive game in as many weeks, a 28-22 loss against the rival Miami Hurricanes on Saturday night in prime time.

Miami led 28-3 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, and FSU scored 19 unanswered points to make the score look closer than the game actually was.

FSU received the ball first and moved the ball well on its first possession, settling for a field goal to take a 3-0 lead. The FSU defense forced a punt on Miami’s first offensive possession, giving the FSU offense an opportunity to put some major pressure on the Canes, but the Noles punted after getting one first down.

Miami marched down the field and scored a touchdown for a 7-3 lead and never looked back. FSU turned the ball over two times in the second quarter, resulting in seven points for the Canes.

FSU turned it over again in the third quarter, resulting in another seven points for the Canes. Are we starting to see the trend here? It’s the same stuff that happened against UVA last week. The offense is failing to execute and turning the ball over multiple times. No team is going to beat good teams doing those two things every week. Here are my three major takeaways from the Miami game.
