FOUR-STAR CB JAY TIMMONS

This is a late name that Florida State added to their recruiting board for the 2026 cycle after four-star defensive back Jay Timmons (Indiana commit) attended the Elite Camp on June 1st. He is on an official visit this weekend with the Seminoles.

The defender's father (Lawrence) was a former linebacker who played for the Seminoles. Noles247's Zach Blostein already put in a flip crystal ball prediction from Indiana to Florida State for Timmons, who is from Pine-Richland High School in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania.

I know that some fans are upset that the Seminoles could not close on four-star cornerback CJ Bronaugh after he pledged to Florida after a recent official visit to Florida State. I don't want to sugarcoat the miss and make it out to be minimal loss because Bronaugh was a top-100 prospect.

However, Coach Surtain Sr. has shown that he can recruit at a high level, and having a haul of five-star Chauncey Kennon, four-star Darryl Bell III, four-star Tedarius Hughes, four-star Jay Timmons, and three-star Sean Johnson would be very solid.

The Seminoles need to lock in the legacy recruit to the recruiting class.
