FIVE-STAR CB CHAUNCEY KENNON

Florida State football has been criticized by the fan base for its high school recruiting efforts over the past few years under head football coach Mike Norvell. However, defensive back coaches Patrick Surtain Sr. and Evan Cooper have done a phenomenal job with securing talent in the room.

The Seminoles already have four-star Darryl Bell III, four-star Tedarius Hughes, and three-star Sean Johnson in the fold. Johnson already announced that he has shut down his recruitment.

Florida State is now heavily involved with five-star cornerback Chauncey Kennon from Sarasota, Florida. This recruitment reminds me of when the Seminoles were recruiting Class of 2024 elite cornerback Charles Lester III (funny that they are from the same place).

The defender is potentially officially visiting the LSU Tigers this weekend and deciding on July 6th. That doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies, but Coach Surtain has proven that he can get the job done.
