FIVE-STAR DE TRENTON HENDERSON
Florida State fans were skeptical of defensive line coach Terrance Knighton's recruiting ability on social media. They saw how he was tweeting on social media, and nothing was happening. We, unfortunately, live in a microwave society where we want things to happen quickly.
The hesitancy quickly turned to excitement as Coach Knighton landed four-star James Carrington, four-star Tico Crittendon, and three-star Wihtlley Cadeau in the fold. They are all good prospects and fit what defensive coordinator Tony White needs in his multiple 3-3-5 defensive scheme.
However, I believe that the recruiting class needs more defensive linemen (possibly even six of them). Florida State is in it heavily for Class of 2026 five-star pass rusher Trenton Henderson. He decided to not officially visit the program this weekend.
He has instead chosen to officially visit Florida State during their matchup versus Alabama. The Pensacola, Florida native told media members that he plans to take the visit and then make his decision after, which could be a scary proposition for a game that the Seminoles have so much pressure on.
Nonetheless, Henderson has a crystal ball prediction in favor of the arch-rival Florida Gators, and the fan base does not want to see a talented five-star prospect go there, so the coaching staff needs to buckle up and find a way to get him in the recruiting class.
