OL ANDRE OTTO

Florida State released the projected depth chart versus Duke. In a previous media session, Norvell explained that the depth chart did not mean much with what transpires in the game. However, when evaluating the depth chart, the Seminoles put redshirt sophomore Jaylen Early and redshirt freshman Andre Otto at the offensive guard spots.

Early has been utilized at right tackle with Jeremiah Byers and Robert Scott Jr. dealing with injuries. He has performed admirably. It should be a good sign to suggest that Byers and/or Scott Jr. will be available for the Duke game.

Otto will be making that start at guard. He had some up's and down's versus Clemson where fans saw him pancaked by a defensive lineman and was even calling for a holding call (ouch...). However, that is to be expected with an inexperienced player where you deal with the growing pains.

The Seminoles want to establish the running game (which ranks last in the FBS) and Otto will have to be competent in his technique to allow it to flourish.
