Admittedly, I was not a fan of the Thomas Castellanos addition initially. My first option was Kaidon Salter, who had talks with FSU, but Castellanos was the first guy they brought in for a visit, and Salter never visited after Castellanos committed to FSU.

I get it. Castellanos has a relationship with Mike Norvell and Gus Malzahn. He has experience in Malzahn's system, spending a year with him at UCF before transferring to Boston College.

He's electric with his legs and can make something out of nothing, similar to Jordan Travis in many regards. That's a positive, considering FSU's offensive line struggles over the past 7-8 years. There were questions about how he left Boston College, but I'm fine with that after hearing how some things went down with Bill O'Brien.

The question is, can he pass the ball well enough for teams to respect the run game? I believe so, and he's shown the ability to attract playmakers from the transfer portal. He plays with emotion and has leadership qualities. He's already been working out with several guys who committed to FSU from the portal, and that's a good sign. I believe he has two years of eligibility remaining, which will give the younger guys time to develop by the time he's gone.
