FSU football: Five huge takeaways from Luke Kromenhoek's first career start
By Kelvin Hunt
More Confident As Game Progressed
Luke Kromenhoek didn't take his first career snap as a starter in an ideal situation. FSU started its first possession inside its five-yard line. Kromenhoek faced two early third downs and got conversions to move the Noles to their 20-yard line before breaking a long 24-yard run to move FSU near midfield.
However, a sack put FSU in third and long before they punted the ball away. Nothing looked smooth for Kromenhoek early, and the FSU offensive line did him no favors as they struggled to make a block against an FCS team(that's absurd to type).
FSU scored a field goal on its second possession, aided by a big-time throw to Hykeem Williams for a 25-yard gain.
The FSU offense would score touchdowns on four of its next five possessions. FSU averaged 4.52 yards per play on its first two drives and 9.4 on its next five.
The game looked like it slowed down and he showed some solid pocket presence as the game progressed.
