It's official. FSU settled its lawsuit against the ACC and got everything they wanted and more(except leaving the conference yesterday).
However, FSU staying in the ACC a few more years likely nets them more money in the long run when considering how much they would have had to pay to exit, plus likely not becoming a full-share member of whatever new conference.
FSU also continues to have the luxury of playing less talented teams like Wake Forest, Virginia, Pitt, Virginia Tech, and others. Other fan bases talked tons of crap about FSU and how they were gonna be stuck in the ACC and would lose their lawsuit.
Some FSU fans had a good time pulling receipts on social media and feeding some crow to these clowns.

What's funny is it wasn't only fans of other ACC fan bases, but lots of media based in North Carolina talking nonsense. I constantly called them out because they had no objectivity whatsoever. What's funny is they wouldn't respond after the news broke about the settlement. The only thing you could find was things like this:
ACC Time of Death: July 1, 2030 https://t.co/ZUoTw9ciQ5

I thought the Grant of Rights was ironclad, fellas? I thought the ACC would be fine if FSU and Clemson left the conference. Now, they are already claiming the end of the road for a conference that was walking around with its chest out, believing there was no way FSU could make anything happen.
Remember this?
If the GOR was breakable, it woulda been broken by now. https://t.co/CjKdtqRVBj

We knew something fishy when the ACC kept those documents under lock and key in North Carolina and wouldn't let FSU lawyers(or anyone) take pictures in hopes of finding a way out of the agreement. However, FSU lawyers finally found some chinks in the armor, enough that the ACC was afraid to go to court to face discovery for fear of losing the case.
So much for "ironclad" and FSU stuck in the ACC through 2036!
