Many Examples of Guys Still Playing Hard
As bad as things have been for the young quarterbacks, they continue to go out there and put their bodies on the line.
They are running for their lives, trying to make something out of nothing and taking huge hits. Lawrance Toafili continues to run hard, and Sam Singleton runs the ball hard and plays hard on special teams.
Landen Thomas, Amaree Williams, Elijah Moore, Lawayne McCoy, and Ja'Khi Douglas continue to try to make plays.
Joshua Farmer, Darrell Jackson, Edwin Joseph, Blake Nichelson, Omar Graham, Juice Cryer, KJ Kirkland, and others have continued to play hard.
The object of the game is to score more points than the other team, and when you're this handicapped on offense, it makes it nearly impossible. I know folks expect the defense to get three-and-outs every possession and hold teams to six points like prime Mickey Andrews. However, those days are gone, folks. It's an offensive game now and teams are going to score points.
Ohio State is the best scoring defense among Power Four teams and they allow 10.3 ppg per game, and that's with playing only two offenses with a pulse the majority of their schedule.
