Lawrance Toafili-Running Back

FSU hasn't had much of a running game through the first six games, but it's no fault of Lawrance Toafili. I have felt bad for Toafili because it should be his year to cash in on all the time and energy he's put into becoming a player who could be a major contributor.

Although the FSU offensive line, tight ends, and receivers have left much on the table blocking to create running lanes, Toafili still leads the team in rushing attempts (55), rushing yards (230), and two touchdowns.

He also has 13 receptions for 78 yards in the passing game. Toafili continues to run hard when his number has been called. The only gripe I have is the one missed block at the goal line against SMU. DJ Uiagalelei would have walked into the end zone had he executed the block.

At the same time, it's fair to question why a 190-pound running back got asked to execute that block when the roster has multiple guys at 200+ pounds.

Toafili is a guy who is a Nole through and through, and I look for him to finish the final six games strong.
