Daniel Lyons-Defensive Tackle

The defensive tackle position was supposed to be one of the biggest strengths on the team based on the returning players and the amount of depth they had compared to years past.

Daniel Lyons was one of those players the coaching staff was counting on for solid depth, and I think Lyons has met those expectations.

He has appeared in all six games. Lyons has 14 tackles, including three in each of the last two games. He also has four tackles for a loss, which ranks third on the team as a reserve player. He also has 2.5 sacks and has shown he can penetrate and create pressure to collapse the pocket.

He has shown a decent motor in pursuit and looks in line to take on a larger role as a redshirt junior in 2025 once Joshua Farmer departs from the program. I'm excited to see what type of production he'll have over the next six games, as FSU will face fewer dual-threat quarterbacks.
