FSU football: 5 players I'm looking at for leadership the most in fall camp

Leadership will be key for the Noles in 2025.

Teams take on the personality of their head coach and quarterback. I don't think that was more apparent than FSU in 2022 and 2023, contrasted with 2024.

FSU players would give everything and go through the fire for Jordan Travis because he earned that respect. That's the challenge for transfer QB Thomas Castellanos.

Castellanos has a good track record against FSU the past two years, so players know what he's capable of and should respect what he brings to the table. However, Castellanos must play at a high level if he expects the players to respect his leadership.

He has done a good job of getting guys together for workouts over the summer months and has been instructive at practices when others run the wrong route or do something wrong.

He added some spice to the Alabama game with some comments that could make him a hero, or make his teammates look at him funny in hindsight. I want my quarterback to speak with confidence, so I'm not upset he did that. However, he must play well if he plans to keep doing that sort of thing.

This team will go as Castellanos and the offense go.
