Changed Perception

The program was down bad a few weeks ago when FSU was blown out by Notre Dame, and FSU fired its coordinators.

It wasn't clear who FSU could get to come coach or how they would finish the 2025 high-school recruiting cycle. The class had dropped into the 50s, with the possibility they'd lose the remainder of their top commits.

Fast forward a couple of weeks, and FSU has hired two well-respected coordinators with excellent success at multiple stops. They have some momentum on the recruiting trail and signed a high school class with a 50 percent blue-chip ratio after winning TWO games.

Some opposing fans wondered why coaches would want to leave their schools to go coach at FSU. This is why. FSU can get quality players you can't get at most places, even when you have a 2-10 season.

FSU still has some coaching hires to make, but the coaching changes no longer allow opposing teams to use the old narratives they were using on the recruiting trail. It's almost like Mike Norvell has a clean slate to start over. Yes, teams will try to point to the 2024 season, but Mike Norvell can also point to a 23-4 period after inheriting a dumpster fire.

The No. 25 class nationally is NOT the standard at FSU. However, the 2025 Early Signing Period has already given hope to the fan base going into the offseason. Now it's up to Mike Norvell to finish these coaching hires and hit home runs in the transfer portal so the offseason lies can begin!
