Avoid Turnovers On Offense
This is the number one thing. FSU has turned the ball over 13 times in seven games, and nine turnovers have given the ball to opposing offenses in FSU territory. That's a losing recipe if I've ever seen one.
Miami is a team that thrives off turnovers, dating back to the Manny Diaz squads and the turnover chain. They have a +4 turnover margin this season, forcing 10 interceptions and one fumble recovery.
FSU is -10 in turnover margin and only has one game without a turnover this season. They have three games with three or more turnovers and arguably could have won the two games where they had three turnovers.
Miami's offense is good enough that they don't need any extra possessions, especially none that begin on FSU's side of the field. FSU must win the turnover battle and likely need to be +1 or +2 for a shot to pull off the upset. The FSU offense not turning the ball over would play a major part in potentially winning that aspect of the game and pulling off the upset.
