FSU hit on a lot of its young talent
It was impressive with the amount of young players who played in the Alabama game. The rule of thumb is that it’s usually not a great sign when you have a lot of young guys contributing. However, FSU had freshmen and sophomores all over the field for large stretches of the game on Saturday.
Ousmane Kromah is a freshman running like a grown man at running back. Freshman Jayvan Boggs was on the field early in the game as expected. Micahi Danzy made some huge impact plays.
Freshman Mandrell Desir was in the game a lot on some key plays. Sophomores KJ Kirkland, Edwin Joseph, and Ja’Bril Rawls were in on the action.
Freshman Jake Weinberg made a huge field goal after making the first attempt that was nullified by a timeout. There are other freshmen who’ll become contributors, like Kevin Wynn and Darryll Desir.
Wynn will probably be out, but these guys will likely get a ton more reps over the next two games against East Texas A&M and Kent State. This is great for depth and development before rolling into ACC play.
