Pass Rush
We heard some positives about the FSU pass rush from an unexpected player in Jaden Jones. The former JUCO transfer has battled injuries his whole career, but may finally turn the corner and become a force on defense.
He had a sack, and James Williams had a sack in the first scrimmage. However, I'm not sure if they were traditional sacks where they came off the edge, coverage sacks, or blown assignments by the offensive line.
Sacks and quarterback pressures come from a variety of areas in Tony White's defense. He said they had the quarterback in their sights several times and missed opportunities. Some of that may be attributed to the quarterbacks having on green jerseys (non-contact).
However, I want to hear more about the defense getting after the quarterbacks in this second scrimmage.
