These pass catchers should be able to create separation.

WR TAE'SHAUN GELSEY

The 2025 recruiting class for the Seminoles is encouraging to see because there were numerous true freshmen who have made significant strides on the team. Players such as Jayvan Boggs and Chase Loftin get plenty of praise from the coaching staff because of their recruiting ranking.

However, wide receiver Tae'Shaun Gelsey doesn't get the attention that he deserves. He is noted for being the Scout Team Offensive Player of the Week recently, plus the coaching staff raved about the Jacksonville native when they went to the University of North Florida for fall camp.

Gelsey caught 61 passes for 875 yards and 14 touchdowns during his senior season at Riverside High School, so the youngster knows how to be productive in an offense. With that said, he still hasn't recorded a catch in the Garnet and Gold.

The 6'4" and 235-pound pass catcher made his first collegiate appearance against East Texas A&M. This could be a confidence booster for Gelsey if he gets the football in his hands. The Kent State defenders likely won't have an answer for his frame if quarterback Kevin Sperry highpoints the football to him.
