Parting Thoughts

I'm curious who FSU will attract now that Castellanos is in the fold. What caliber of offensive linemen and skill position guys can they get from the transfer portal?

The 2024 season is hard to gauge because they were forcing him to play in a fashion that didn't best suit his ability. His rushing numbers went down drastically after he torched FSU in their season opener.

His 2023 numbers at Boston College were somewhat similar to Jordan Travis in 2021. Jordan Travis was much better at taking care of the ball and not turning it over. However, Castellanos was a terror running the ball, eclipsing 1,100 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. He also threw for 2,248 yards and 15 touchdowns.

It was the 14 interceptions that were a red flag. However, he cut those down significantly in 2024 before exiting the program.

The move could work out for Mike Norvell and it makes sense on several fronts. It's all about fixing the offensive line in the portal and improving the weapons around him.

The FSU defense will be fine with whatever they decide to do. That could equal 8-9 wins in 2025.
