Thomas Castellanos made good decisions and played nearly flawless

Thomas Castellanos is a perfect fit for Gus Malzahn’s offense. He ran the ball when he needed to and was efficient in the passing game. He extended plays several times to frustrate the Alabama defense, and more importantly, didn’t turn the ball over.

He protected himself by sliding several times and threw passes away when there was nothing in the passing game. I can only think of a handful of times where he was late with a throw or inaccurate.

These are all things Castellanos mentioned he had been working on since arriving in Tallahassee. If he can play at this level all season, there’s no team on the schedule that FSU can’t beat. However, that’s been the knock on him over the past two seasons.
