Nearly Every New Addition Will Early Enroll
One of the biggest positives from doing so well in the Early Winter Transfer Window is these additions will likely enroll in the spring semester. It's one aspect of the portal Mike Norvell has mastered over the past few years.
Why is it important for these guys to enroll in January? It gives them an extra five months to bond with teammates and coaches.
It allows them to go through spring camp, learn the playbook, and experience the strength and conditioning program. Coaches have more opportunities to learn their strengths and weaknesses.
It also lets the coaches know if they need more reinforcements from the spring portal window, depending on how these spring enrollees assimilate into the program.
It's a win-win and gives these players the best opportunity to maximize their impact once the season starts. Whereas, transfer players who don't enroll until after the spring or summer aren't equipped to do that.
I expect FSU to add a few more guys before the spring semester drop-add period ends, which means we'll likely have 15+ spring enrollees from the Winter Portal Window.
