FSU football: 3 MAJOR reasons to avoid redshirting Luke Kromenhoek in 2024

Remaining Games Provide Information Going Into 2025
Ultimately, Mike Norvell has to find out if the quarterback of the future is on the roster between Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek. I'd start Kromenhoek against North Carolina for a couple of reasons.
I'd want to see if Kromenhoek gave the offense a spark from the onset in a continuation of his play against Miami, and I'd want to see how Brock Glenn would respond in that situation.
If Luke Kromenhoek went out there and led FSU to 14-21 first-half points? That would be equal to or more than FSU has scored in entire games all season. I'd let him start the second half to see if that continued.
If he wasn't productive in his first two series, I'd give Glenn a shot and treat it like the Miami game. It's a legitimate competition at this point and whoever plays the best over the next four games will have the upper hand going into spring camp.
If that's Kromenhoek, Brock Glenn could potentially enter the transfer portal. If Glenn plays better, I don't think Kromenhoek would enter the portal yet because he got a legitimate shot as a freshman. The two could continue to compete throughout spring, summer, and fall.
At the very least, you have a better idea of what you have in the QB room. Redshirting Kromenhoek doesn't help him or FSU. If he's THAT guy, he'll never see a fourth year at FSU anyway because he'll be a high NFL Draft pick.
