Resetting The QB Room

When I say resetting the quarterback room, think of how Clemson had it when they were going on their elite run.

FSU taking a transfer quarterback for the 2025 season sets it up for Luke Kromenhoek or Brock Glenn to be the starter in 2026.

That also means Kevin Sperry would enter the 2026 season as a redshirt freshman with the opportunity to be the guy in 2027. FSU should be rolling over several teams in 2026, so he'd likely get some mop-up duty action to satisfy the urge to play.

If FSU can keep 2026 blue-chip QB Brady Smiegel committed, that would provide the chance to develop or redshirt. The idea that freshmen quarterbacks are playing everywhere around the country is nonsense. Ideally, you don't want to play a freshman QB unless he is some phenom, and those are exceedingly rare.

I know it's a lost artform, and players want everything yesterday. Howver, Mike Norvell must preach the value of patience to these young guys. After all, they would receive a lot of money NOT to play and develop with how things are in the college game now.
