QB Development

As mentioned, it wasn't fair to put Brock or Luke behind that facade for an offensive line. It's nearly impossible to develop any quarterback when they don't have time to process the information, nor a running game that can keep a defense honest.

As good as Jameis Winston was, he redshirted before leading FSU to a National Title in 2013. I'm aware he did things in practice as a true freshman that was special, but having that year to redshirt made him much better when it was his turn in 2013.

If FSU brings in a quality transfer quarterback(and they address the offensive line), it would allow Brock Glenn(if he stays) and Luke Kromenhoek to have a real offseason to develop and fight for the starting job in 2026. It would also give Kevin Sperry the opportunity to concentrate on developing in a redshirt season.

If Brock Glenn enters the transfer portal, taking a quality portal QB takes a ton of pressure off Kromenhoek and provides depth. If FSU Glenn hits the portal and it's only Kromenhoek, FSU is right back where they started once Uiagalelei got hurt. That's with two inexperienced quarterbacks.
