Injuries Healed

The bye week is a great time for players with bumps and bruises to heal up. The Alabama game was a physical contest, and most of the starters only played a few snaps on Saturday.

Players like Squirrel White, Randy Pittman Jr., James Williams, Stefon Thompson, Kevin Wynn, and Lawayne McCoy get an extra week to rest. They will have next week to rest against Kent State. Truthfully, some of these guys probably won’t be needed against Virginia, though they look somewhat improved over last year.

FSU will have essentially three weeks to gear up for the showdown against Miami. They should be as close to healthy as possible as a team by then. If they win that game (after hopefully beating Virginia), it puts them in the driver’s seat in the ACC.

They have some very winnable games, and a bye week worked in leading up to the Clemson week. The first two weeks couldn’t have gone better on the field, and now this team could find itself 100 percent healthy as it starts the ACC schedule.

It’s a great time to be an FSU football fan!
