Passing Offense

I liked what I saw from Thomas Castellanos and Duce Robinson against East Texas A&M. I hoped to see more of the passing game so opposing defenses would have more to think about.

We saw the vertical shots with Robinson, some screen passes to the running backs, and a nice crossing route by Elijah Moore from Brock Glenn on Saturday.

The bye week would be a great time to continue working on those passing concepts, while including some of the younger guys, especially with Squirrel White’s injury.

FSU needs a few more guys to emerge to build that depth. I’d like to see Landen Thomas, Jayvan Boggs, Elijah Moore, Camden Frier, Micahi Danzy, and more Amaree Williams as viable options through the air.

I think FSU will have success against most teams running the ball, but having options in the passing game will be a must against the better teams they’ll face. The bye week and Kent State will be extended versions of fall camp to work on that.
