Despite Mike Norvell returning for a seventh year, the powers that be at FSU promise lots of changes, albeit none they can confirm yet. With changes to the program come changes to the roster. Some players will hit the transfer portal, others will declare for the NFL Draft and some might just give up football altogether.
While Norvell is staying, the future of FSU football is still to be determined. That's why these five players should be the ones to keep an eye on in case they decide to leave.
5. Landon Thomas, TE, Sophomore
Thomas was one of the few young players from 2024 that showed promise and gave fans a reason to be optimistic. But new offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn decided not to use him at all this year. Thomas has three catches for 35 yards and two touchdowns this season. He's appeared in all 11 games, so this has truly been a waste of a year for the Moultrie, Georgia native. It would be a surprise to see Thomas return to Tallahassee for his junior year.

4. Kam Davis, RB, Sophomore
It was announced this week that Davis was going to redshirt this season, but there still doesn't appear to be a defined role for the power back. His close relationship with Ousmane Kromah could keep him at Florida State. But if he desires a role as a lead back or even more of a complementary role in a rotation, it might be best for him to go elsewhere to find it.
3. Elijah Moore, WR, RS Freshman
Here's another big, athletic, highly-touted wide receiver prospect that just can't find his way at FSU. If there's one area where Mike Norvell needs to be serious about an overhaul, it's the development of young wide receivers. Moore, a former national top-100 prospect, might search for greener pastures or at least an opportunity to get on the field with more frequency.
2. Earl Little Jr., DB, RS Junior
Little might strike while the iron is hot. He leads the Seminoles in tackles and interceptions and generally grades out well from week to week. Little is already 22 and has spent the better part of the past three seasons as a major contributor at FSU and Alabama. He is also a very good special teams player, which will only boost his value to NFL scouts.

Robinson was given the WR1 designation already immediately upon his transfer from USC, and he's made the most of it. He is the first FSU wide receiver to have a 1,000-yard season since Tamorrion Terry achieved the feat in 2019. Robinson wanted to show he was a big wide receiver and not a tight end. He has accomplished that. With FSU possibly looking at a new quarterback in 2026 and maybe a new offensive coordinator, Robinson could just decide to move on to the NFL.
