The expectations for running back Ousmane Kromah this season are already high. Even though the incoming freshman from Leesburg, Georgia just arrived on campus a few days ago, there is a broad belief among FSU fans that he could be a major piece of the rotation this season.
Last week, Kromah was part of a group of incoming freshmen and transfers that met with the local media. Much of the conversation centered around his recruitment, but he also touched on his friendship with FSU sophomore running back Kam Davis.
Kromah explained how the two have been close friends since they were little kids and played on some of the same youth football teams together. Davis also proved to be a calming presence for Kromah as he went through the recruiting process.
"I'm going to be real," Kromah said. "He wasn't pushy. He wasn't like 'oh you need to come here'. He was like, 'go through your process, take your time, read out all your options and really see what you want to do'. That just made me want to come here more. He was really looking out for me and making sure if I wanted to be here or did I want to be there? Just checking out for me like a friend would do."
FSU fans can envision Kromah and Davis being a 1-2 punch in the Seminoles running game. Davis played nine games last season and rushed for 173 yards on 52 carries in a reserve role. He is a thickly-built 5-foot-10, 225-pound back who should be able to get tough yards and help wear defenses sound late in games.

Kromah was one of the most explosive running backs in the Class of 2025. With a running back room that features Davis, Gavin Sawchuk and Roydell Williams, it might take a few games for Kromah to get some carries, but in high school he showed the ability to catch passes and return kicks.
The 6-foot, 200-pounder had over 2,000 all-purpose yards as a senior at Lee County High. According to MaxPreps, he rushed for 1,356 yards, averaging over eight yards per carry, but more impressive, Kromah caught 34 passes for 741 yards.

If things go as planned, it won't be long before Kromah and Davis are on the field together as FSU's next version of 'Thunder and Lightning'.
