FSU football recruiting has come alive over the past five weeks. FSU has had one of the best starts to the summer recruiting months, landing 13 commitments since the beginning of June.

FSU fans had been impatient, some tweeting at coaches on social media and others making snarky jokes without understanding the recruiting plans the coaches had in place.

However, they knew better than any fan what the plans for recruiting were and were waiting until official visit season to get things popping on the recruiting front. After all, some of them had only been on staff for a few months and were trying to piece together an actual recruiting board.

FSU coaches are human and some of the new ones on staff probably didn't have a full grasp of the expectations of a place like FSU.

I think they have a better grasp of the expectations now and seem to enjoy the fruits of their labor by posting expressions on social media after landing the highest-ranked recruit to date:

It's a massive win over both in-state rivals and the Georgia Bulldogs. Whether folks want to admit it or not, FSU has taken several elite players from the Bulldogs over the past two or three recruiting cycles. It's a sign the coaches might be able to recruit high school talent near an elite level if they can put together a strong season on the field.

That's what everything boils down to if FSU wants to ascend back to the elite status they had in the 2023 season. FSU has seven players in the composite top 210 players nationally and has the opportunity to land 4-5 more blue-chip targets.

They could easily have a 68 percent blue-chip ratio or higher, which is insane for a program coming off of a two-win season. Flex on coaches, flex on!
