FORWARD AL THORNTON

Thornton was a pure scorer for Florida State. The forward played for the Seminoles from 2003 to 2007, it was sad to see Thornton was not involved in the NCAA Tournament during his playing days.

However, the forward made opposing teams pay for not playing good enough defense, where he averaged 19 points in the 2006 season. Thornton had massive performances in the NIT versus Toledo and Michigan where he had 24 and 11 points, respectively.

The forward was an underrated piece in the Seminoles' history before the squad got on a run in the NCAA Tournament. Thornton had a productive NBA career where he played for three different teams (Clippers, Wizards, and Warriors) in a four-year journey.

Thornton was a piece in a forgotten time in Seminoles' basketball where it was battling for NIT contention instead of the NCAA Tournament.
